It’s been a busy few weeks hence the lack of posts. I’ve been back to Bristol to stay with my best friend, Mr Bennett and his lovely family whilst I was doing some photoshop workshops with some year 10’s at his school.

It’s specialist arts status provides a budget for practitioners from different fields in Art, Design and Textiles, to come in to run workshops with the students. It was a great experience and the students got on really well. I couldn’t help feeling they were lucky to have such a talented and passionate teacher - Mr Bennett - running their art department!

John’s extensive archive is now starting to surface via www.benno247.co.uk - well worth a visit!

Whilst in the Briz I was also able to briefly catch up with another very talented college friend, Anna Marrow, and her beautiful daughter. Anna’s website gives you a glimpse at wealth of amazing work she’s produced.Catgirls print and sketch

I also briefly saw Rick and Danny from Babel before they set off to play some shows at Glastonbury, and got an advance of of their forthcoming new album - Crooked TImber. As I expected it’s nothing short of brilliant! I can’t wait for them to play Moseley Folk at the end of August.

I also managed to fit in a boozy night out with my good friend Mr Jago which was pre-empted by a sneak preview of some stunning new paintings he’s been working on for his forthcoming London solo show - more details soon. Lots of stuff going on with Dunc, including a fresh range of tees at Play Nice and the insider knowledge that anyone at Shambala festival on fancy dress night this year is in for a treat!! ;)
