Like a carnival on cable…
a jazzy, funky fable…
I’m proud to have the first post of this, the new video promo, for Out of Babel, by Birmingham’s finest 15 piece…The Destroyers.
Directed by John Humphreys and shot by Prime Chris in the late hours of a friday night in May, the merry band bring the dawn in atop a multi story with city views.
Brilliant… This band are awesome live and now have a promo on the same level… All we need now is their LP?!
Are you ready? Here we go… outta Babel!

The video looks amazing!
Is it bad of me to say that I wish that there was less slow-mo in the last 30 seconds and more frantic movement for that immense climax? Ah, well, I said it.
It’s wicked and weird seeing my mates in a music video!
Well done chaps! I like it!

Well well well you destroyers don’t ever disappoint do you - what we want is MORE!
What a mission this video was, shooting through the night around the
streets of Digbeth, ending around 5am after dawn break when we shot the band in full swing at the top level of a carpark overlooking the city of Birmingham. At 6am the shoot was complete and we all ended up in the Prince of Wales pub down in Moseley for breakfast sleep deprived banter.
One of the funnest shoots I’ve worked on! First time I’ve shot anything at 120 frames per second, using the Red Camera was a real treat!
A sleep deprived creation shot on a shoestring budget with everyone working hard to stay awake and bring it together. Massive props to everyone involved! Look forward to making more in the future!
Ohhh, that gave me goose pimples and made the hairs on my arms stand up straight! Now that doesn’t happen much in 35 degree Bangkok…
Hoorah and Viva The Destroyers, they fuel my lust for life and love of the irrelevant.
